NATICK — In two short years, TEDxNatick has evolved from an audacious idea to a community tradition. The feeling grew that this idea meant too much to the community to be confined to one month of the year, and the notion of an evening “Salon” style event was born. Smaller and more intimate than a TEDx event, the TEDxNatick Salon will take place at The Center for Arts in Natick. TEDxNatick has become overwhelmingly popular in town, and a number of fans have expressed the opinion that once a year is just not enough. A solution is at hand. On January 21, the second TEDxNatick opened at Natick High School in front of a packed auditorium. Co-curators Rosemary Driscoll and Steve Gullans greeted the audience with a summary of what to expect. “TEDxNatick is a local event,” Gullans stated. “You are now all TEDsters.” Driscoll thanked the corporate supporters of TEDxNatick, starting with MathWorks as lead sponsor.
