MathWorks to be lead corporate sponsor of TEDxNatick 2017

NATICK — The 2017 TEDxNatick team announced that MathWorks will be the lead corporate sponsor of the second annual TEDxNatick event on Jan. 21, 2017 at Natick High School.

An all-volunteer, community-driven initiative, TEDxNatick brings together 800 community members, civic leaders, business leaders, technologists, artists, educators, and other professionals for a full day of thought-provoking talks, inspiring music, conversations and networking. Tickets for the event are expected to sell out quickly.

“We are delighted to once again welcome MathWorks as our Premier Sponsor,” said Steve Gullans, TEDxNatick co-organizer. “The company is an ideal partner because of its active role in supporting our community, and its commitment to innovation and education in engineering and science. MathWorks’ support will enable us to produce an exceptional experience for TEDxNatick attendees, and for the thousands of folks who will enjoy the talks at TEDx.com after the event.”

“MathWorks is proud to again take the lead role in helping bring TEDxNatick to our community,” said Jeanne O’Keefe, senior vice president of MathWorks. “The goal of the event aligns perfectly with our goal to inspire people to learn, discover and innovate. The professionalism and success of the inaugural TEDxNatick this past January led to our decision to continue the MathWorks sponsorship.”

Founded in 1984, MathWorks is the leading developer of mathematical computing software used by scientists, engineers and universities around the world to transform the way we live, work and learn. The company is headquartered in Natick and employs more than 3500 people in 15 countries.
