Natick cherishes its reputation for passionate support of arts, culture and learning. The community is, after all, home to The Center for Arts in Natick (TCAN), Natick Center Cultural District, and a thriving arts community. The first TEDxNatick added entertaining and thought-provoking educational talks to that mix. The rave reviews for the 2016 inaugural event made a reprise a natural, and TEDxNatick 2017 on January 21, 2017 promises to be even better than the first.
Members of the community are invited to come to experience TEDxNatick live, featuring short, inspiring talks by an eclectic collection of local innovators and change makers. “We are thrilled with the speaker line-up we have again this year,” said Steve Gullans, TEDxNatick Co-Curator. “It will be a fantastic mix of local and regional speakers who will bring their inspiring stories to the stage.” Speakers include innovators, engineers, composers, artists, community builders, and, Gullans added, “a few surprises.”
TEDxNatick 2017 confirmed speakers include:
Jamele Adams, Dean, Brandeis University
Bren Bataclan, Artist
Adam Foss, Attorney, Social Justice Advocate
Bill Littlefield, NPR Radio Host of Only a Game

“TEDxNatick is made possible by the support of numerous local and regional sponsors, notably MathWorks as Premier Sponsor, Natick Education Foundation, and Needham Bank, among others,” said Rosemary Driscoll, TEDxNatick Co-Curator. She added, “Their financial support provides the foundation for our event. Natick is lucky to have such generous community support from local and regional businesses and organizations.”
